No Regrets, Just Love: Grey/Greige Lip Colors.
This has been the year of the liquid lipstick. I was hesitant to go along with the trend, but I saw so many beautiful and different colors being made in this form. I had to dive in somehow. After pondering over which to give a try and invest in, I've come to realize this: I freaking love grey lipstick.
It's so unconventional, and makes you stand out in a way no bright pink will ever do. Also, it's damn close to black - and you know how Monica loves black.
L.A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick in Poetic
Okay I'm cheating with this one a bit - it's a regular lipstick, not liquid. But whatever, it's grey and gorgeous. This is the first of these that I picked up. I was planning on buying the MAC shade in Halsey, but found this, realized it looks exactly the same, and was about a quarter of the price. This is a "regular" grey - not too light and not too dark. Also, it feels wonderful on the lips - it's a matte but it stays creamy for a decent amount of hours.
NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Stone Fox
Stone Fox is darker than Poetic, and that's how I justify having both. Also, different formulas, obvy. This is an actual liquid lipstick, and it feels good on the lips. It's not thick and paint-like (I'm looking at you, Sangre Azul), and it stays comfy throughout the day.
Nicka K True Matte in Outer Space
After I was good enough with my full on grey kick, I wanted a grey with a tinge of purple. I've seen a few of these from multiple companies, but I wasn't a fan of the price tag and (in some cases) the company. So I randomly walked into a beauty supply store, saw this, and said "That's it, that's the exact color I want". And it is. It's precisely as if you'd mixed one of the other shades I mentioned with a little bit of mauvy purple. I haven't worn this one on my lips yet though, so as far as what it feels like I'll have to update you guys on that.
