During the summer I actually am not a fan of loading my face up with tons of makeup. I sweat like a pig, and get oily super fast. So layers of layers of the stuff would just drop down my face after I've walked one block. But here's a look at my simple summer beauty staples for that quick "I don't feel like doing this but I have to look presentable and not melt" look.
Black Radiance Soft Focus Finishing Powder in Milk Chocolate
I randomly picked this up during a trip to Walgreens at the beginning of the summer. I'm still in the hunt for a colored setting powder that does NOT cost almost $30 (I'm looking at you, MSFs), and actually helps with my shine throughout the day. Not 100% sure this is the one so far, but I'll give you updates when the tempature cools.
Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer in 18
I've used this concealer for years and I love it. I do not love the price tag, but I really haven't found a concealer that does what this does (this actually ties with L.A. Girl's Proconcealer as my fave). Color is perfect, coverage is perfect, and it's just great quality.
Mac Blush in Supernova
You guys should know I have a love for all things mineralized or "baked". Supernova is that bright out there pink, that gets slightly warmed up by the gold swirl that's in it. It'd be nice if the blushes from this collection weren't limited edition.
Real Techniques Powder Brush
I was elated when I found out Duane Reade carried a few (read: very very few) Real Techniques items. I've been in the market for a new fluffy face brush, and this one is perfect. It's not dense at all and it let's you apply powder to large areas of the face/body quickly.
Rite Aid Angled Brush
I've had this for years, and it's still going strong. I switched to an angled brush for my blush simply because it fit my face shape better than your traditional flat brush.
Maybelline Greatlash Mascara in Blackest Black
I just opened this tube of mascara up a little while ago. I've tried it in the past and it was alright. It gave my lashes a nice, simple, everyday gloss over. I love Maybelline mascaras so I knew I couldn't go wrong here.
How have you switched up your makeup routine for the warmer season?
