I have a love hate relationship with Revlon Lip Butters. The lighter shades tend to look TERRIBLE on me (Cotton Candy, Gumdrop, Strawberry Shortcake). They either glittery, ashy, or a combination of the two. The darker, more pigmented tones work better for me (Red Velvet, Sugar Plum, Pink Truffle).
I had been eyeing Wild Watermelon for a while, because it looked like a really pretty color. BUT, as it was somewhat in the middle of (what I'd consider) to be the light and dark colors of lip butters, I was hesitant. That and coral tones aren't typically what I go for. But Revlon was BOGO at Walgreens, and I had another product in mind, so I figured now was the time to try it out.
Wild Watermelon is a medium coral, almost red-toned color. It's wonderfully pigmented, so even when you apply a light coat, you get a a good amount of color. Layered (how I usually wear it), it serves as a deeper (almost red) bold lip. I usually wear it with simply with eyeliner and mascara, as to not clash with any heavy eye makeup.
I love Wild Watermelon and have been wearing it a ton since I got it. I was scared it'd fall into my Revlon "miss" category, but it's a definite hit.
