Haircare Routine.

Haircare Routine Products

I'm going to be honest with you: I don't really know much about hair. Most of what I have learned I've found out over the last maybe...year and a half. I go to the salon because I just do not want to be bothered with hair things...at all. When I did start to tamper with my own hair, I'd give myself curls by simply washing and braiding my hair overnight. That gave me a full head of curls when I took them out in the morning. Simple as can be because, again, I don't wanna be bothered.

But recently I've wanted to do something for my hair other than curl it - for when it's dirty and I don't feel like waiting until my next salon appointment. I wanted to attempt (we are going to put TONS of emphasis on the word "attempt") to give myself as close to a blow-out as possible. I got this team of hair products together and hoped for the best.

Herbal Essences Shampoo

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo
This particular shampoo isn't anything special to me, to be quite honest. I simply got this because I ran out of my other one, and figured I'd use the same brand. And I thought getting something "hydrating" would be good for my dry hair and scalp.

Tresemme Platinum Strength Shampoo
This cute little sample came with my Chegg (I've also gotten chewing gum, deodorant, and full can of Red Bull from those guys) textbooks. I really just wanted to use it up, so I mixed it in with the Herbal Essences.
Pantene Conditioner

Pantene Smooth Vitality Conditioner
This was actually a recommendation from my hairdresser. It's super rich, and leaves my hair feeling silky and soft.

Salerm Leave In Conditioner

Salerm Leave-In Conditioner
Another recommendation from my hairdresser, she's been using this on me for years. It's always worked for keeping my hair hydrated. But I have made the mistake of putting a little too much in my hair - no bueno. It gave me a weird waxy feeling when I did. But as long as I keep the "little dab will do ya" mentality going, I'm fine.

Nioxin Bliss Thermal Heat Protector
I've only ever used this once, so I can't say much about it. It's not heavy or sticky, and it has a nice clean/fresh scent to it.

Orofluido Hair Elixer

Orofluido Hair Elixer
I got an itty bitty sample of this in a Birchbox ages ago. I had to pick up the full size (and clearly that full size bottle has seen a lot of love) because it is wonderful. First off, it smells like absolute heaven. Second, a little goes along way. And it's not quick to weigh my hair down like other serums I've tried.

What's in your haircare arsenal?
