Current Skincare Routine.

Every now and again I switch up my skincare routine, but I do usually end up going back to certain things. Although I have oily skin, not all the products I use are made for it. Shockingly enough, sometimes things meant for dry skin work better on me than ones for oily skin. My current set up includes:

  • Facial Cleanser
  • Moisturizer
  • Toner
  • Makeup Remover
  • Facial Wipes

Facial Wash: Philosophy Purity Made Simple
This isn't the best facial wash I've ever used, but it gets the job done and doesn't do anything weird/harmful to my face. I'd rather have a simple product that does exactly what it says it should, than have a complicated one that makes my skin worse.

Toner: Lancome Comforting Rehydrating Toner
I love this stuff so much that I raved about it hereI don't always use toner, I usually just use it at night, since I don't like having too many layers on me while I'm wearing makeup during the day. I'd normally prefer a toner that's more alcohol based, but those tend to be a bit harsh and drying. This, on the other hand, it much more soothing, and it makes my face feel nourished instead of stripped. I like that.

Moisturizer: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
At first, the smell of this threw me off. The smell is highly reminiscent of….pickles. Yes, pickles. Sounds gross, but I've used this for so long that I'm used to it. Does a great job at moisturizing, but never feels like I've slathered on a facial cream. I've repurchased this many times and usually end up going back to it.

Makeup Remover: Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Removing Liquid
I still haven't found my holy grail makeup remover yet, so this is just a placeholder until I finally do. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of this. It makes my eyes feel like they're dripping with liquid no matter how little of this I use - no bueno. But it does a pretty decent job at actually removing all the cosmetic gunk left on my face.

Facial Wipes: Yes To Carrots Blemish Clearing Wipes
Just recently started using these. I don't really have acne *knocks on wood*, so I can't say much for that. But it does a good job at removing most of my makeup at the end of the day.

What's your current skincare routine?
