Laquer Love: It's All The Greige!

If you've ever paid attention to my Laquer Loves, you'll see a bunch of bright colors, and a bunch of colors I refer to as "greiges". What is greige? Technically it's a combo of "grey" and "beige", used to describe things (not just polishes, I have a few greige colored bags) made up of the two colors. The outcome ends up being a taupey, murky, dirty, gorgeous mess.

Top Row (Left to Right):
MAC Style Clan
Essie Chinchilly
Essie Mink Muffs

Bottom Row (Left to Right):
Sally Hansen Grey Area
China Glaze Ingrid
American Apparel Factory Grey
OPI You Don't Know Jacques!
Sephora By OPI Metro Chic

There's also greiges with tints of other colors in them - green, blue, pink, etc. Essie's Power Clutch is one of those, having a small hint of green in it. One could also include Essie's Sew Psyched (not pictured, I'll do a Laquer Love for that soon) in that category as well, but on the much lighter end of the spectrum.

The greige trend is one of the few I really care about. It's sort of died down, but I'm still collecting colors as we speak. I like that these could be used when I'm feeling vampy, dark, and evil, but could also satisfy the lighter, girlier side of me. I love love love colors like this and I don't think I will ever get tired of them.

Do you own any greiges? What are your favorites?
